Liquid Rubber Roof

Liquid Roof®, Liquid EPDM rubber coating: Now you too can enjoy the many benefits of a weather-tight rubber roof. Liquid Roof forms a 100% chemically-cured seamless membrane every bit as solid and attractive as factory installed sheet rubber. And you can install an entire new rubber roof yourself, or make repairs to your existing roof, quickly and easily. Liquid Roof’s simple one-coat application by brush or roller saves you time and money, sealing and protecting your RV from water damage and fuel guzzling drafts. No other product can match the durability of EPDM Rubber.

Due to ultraviolet rays and weather conditions, sealant’s become brittle and loose adhesion, resulting in leaks. One application of Liquid Roof® will provide an air and watertight seal that will outlast the original sealant. Liquid Roof® is available in white and covers up to 46 square feet per gallon.

What is Liquid Roof®?

Liquid Roof® is a liquid version of EPDM rubber marketed for the RV industry. It cures by chemical reaction at ambient (ordinary) temperatures to form a flexible rubber membrane. A pre-measured catalyst is added to the rubber compound before application. The liquid form makes it possible to apply EPDM rubber to many materials regardless of their shape.

What is Liquid Rubber®?

Liquid Rubber® is a liquid version of EPDM rubber marketed for commercial/industrial applications. It cures by chemical reaction at ambient (ordinary) temperatures to form a flexible rubber membrane. A pre-measured catalyst is added to the rubber compound before application. The liquid form makes it possible to apply EPDM rubber to many materials regardless of their shape.

How long will it take for the Rubber to cure?

Cure time is controlled by temperature. At 70° F. And above it will take approximately 14 hours for the rubber to feel solid to the touch. Heavier films may take longer. The lowest temperature at which any cure takes place is 55°F. At that temperature it would take 3-4 days for the rubber to feel solid to the touch if the wet film was not more than 35 mils. Thick films take longer to cure.

Must the air/surface temperature be above 55°F before Liquid Roof® or Liquid Rubber® can be applied?

No, but temperatures above freezing are preferred for physical comfort. Liquid Roof® and Liquid Rubber® will waterproof as soon as they are applied but no cure will take place until the temperature exceeds 55° F.
